When I think about the one area that I am constantly cleaning, it’s my kitchen counters. Since my kitchen spray is something I come in contact with everyday, it made sense to try a DIY all purpose cleaner as a natural alternative. At first I started buying Mrs. Meyer’s Kitchen Spray. I don’t mind it, but it still contains synthetics and I can’t guarantee the purity and potency of the essential oils that are in it.
How many times have you been standing there talking with someone and have been super paranoid about your coffee breath. AHH, this does happen to me because I have a slight obsession with coffee!
A lot of times we reach for chewing gum or breath mints, but do you know what is in those? SUGAR! The bulk of all breath mints are comprised of some form of sugar or sugar substitute. Then they use something called a ‘binder’ to hold it all together. A binder can be anything from gelatin (which is extracted from the skin, bones, and connective tissues of animals such as domesticated cattle, chicken, pigs, and fish) to corn syrup.
I originally started making my own sea salt spray after I went to the store to buy a ready made sea salt spray and found out it costs $30!
$30 for something that has 10 ingredients in it, half of which I can’t pronounce?
No thanks – especially when the ocean is 5 minutes from my doorstep.
I was looking at my growing collection of essential oils and was thinking of different ways I can use them. Considering all of those air fresheners on the market are full of chemicals, I decided it was time to try and make my own Natural DIY Air Freshener.
It was honestly so simple and I just used an old steel air freshener container that I had around the house.
Perfume mixing, like music is made from notes. When used in harmony, these notes complement and accent each other to create an enjoyable aroma.
So when coming up with my DIY Home Spray, I carefully thought out which ‘notes’ would compliment each other.
There are 3 ‘Notes’ that you’ll often hear about when researching the art of perfume mixing.
Lots of people have recently expressed interest in the Slim and Sassy Metabolic Blend from doTERRA so I put this together so you know how to incorporate it into your weight loss routine.

Grief is a natural response to the loss of something or someone to which we have formed a bond or an attachment. It can also be the feeling of sorrow we experience with change we feel in a familiar pattern or behavior.
Usually death comes to mind when we think about grief, but in reality, we can have grief over many things – loss of a job, loss of a beloved pet, loss of friendships, moving to a new city, etc. The book entitled Necessary Losses by Judith Viorst is a classic reference on these topics.
All Natural. Anti-Aging….This is what every woman (and man) wants to hear! Luckily for you I did the research and found there are certain essential oils for skin that really are ‘all natural’ and ‘anti-aging’.
Add these wonderful essential oils to your arsenal of anti-aging products…
The holidays are coming up and this is a busy time of year for travel. And while traveling is SO MUCH FUN, it also can come with the unwanted side effect of jet lag.
Jet lag is the disruption of normal sleep patterns experienced while the body adjusts to rapid changes in daylight and nighttime hours when flying to different areas of the world.
I get asked this a lot… ‘What are the best combinations for my diffuser?!’ I’ve been testing a bunch of essential oil diffuser recipes and here’s what I LOVE:
- Elevation – This is my absolute favorite oil to put in the diffuser in the morning. The combination of euphoric scents helps elevate mood, promote feelings of confidence and gives you that extra boost of energy in the morning. Get ready to jump out of bed and say ‘Rise and Shine!’
